Andy VanDette

Andy VanDette spends many of his days putting the finishing touches on award-winning and charting music projects that span multiple genres. He worked his way from intern to Chief Engineer of Masterdisk in NYC, guided by the musical perspectives of mastering luminaries Bob Ludwig, Tony Dawsey, Howie Weinberg, and Greg Fulginiti.

During his 30 years at Masterdisk, VanDette mastered classic albums from the Beastie Boys, Uncle Kracker, Whitney Houston, David Bowie, Rush, Deep Purple, Steven Wilson, Porcupine Tree, Dream Theater, and more.

Now settled into the chair as Senior Mastering Engineer at Engine Room Audio NYC, Andy has spent some quality time mastering releases for acts Sevendust, Snatam Kaur, Big Wreck, Devin Townsend, Brian Blade and the Fellowship, Hands Like Houses, Wiz Kahlifa, Thank You Scientist, and other artists from around the world.

A classically trained musician from a musical family, Andy has seen all sides of the music business. Whether mastering, recording, performing on stage with a band, or vocalist on jingles for Nickelodeon and 150+ store chains across the USA.

Every project is unique. Please contact me so I can find out the details of your needs and create a personalized quote for you. I will be asking how many songs, how many versions (are there Instrumentals or Radio edits?) What formats will you be releasing? (CD? online? vinyl? 8-track?)
